On the 27th of July 2021 the pleasure yacht ALMAHA, 41,40m length stranded on the rocky bottom due to swallow waters at Lichadonisia, Evoia. Tugboat Christos XVII, which was near to the vicinity, was alerted to approach the casualty and remain in place by order of the authorities.

Spanopoulos company was assigned to carry out the necessary salvage, preventive actions for oil spill response, dewatering, debunkering, temporary patching and refloating of the yacht. The tug boats Christos XXIX, BHP 2400, Christos XVII BHP 2000, floating crane Ignatios III, salvage and diving team were involved to free the yacht from her stranded position, which was safely removed and towed to Salamis shipyard for repairs.
