The mission of the Hellenic Shipowners’ Association of Tugs, Salvage, Antipollution and Offshore Support Vessels (hereinafter referred to as “OSVs”) is the preservation, promotion, protection and development of any kind of the members’ interests and, in general, the rights of the Greek owners of tugs, salvage, antipollution and OSVs (supplier, cable, oil extraction vessels and any other vessel providing maritime aid in terms of towing, salvage, shipwreck removal, pollution control, as well as offshore oil and gas activities).

The Association’s mission is pursued by any legitimate means and is, mainly, succeeded through:

a) studying, promoting, consulting for issues concerning the members and, in general, the industry.

b) representation of members and/or the industry before any natural or legal person under public or private law and before every administrative or judicial authority, national or foreign.

c) cooperation with any natural or legal person under public or private law, with any administrative or judicial authority, with other unions and associations for the jointly agreed handling and promotion of issues concerning the members, the Greek and world shipping industry and, particularly, those relating to tugs, salvage, antipollution and OSVs.

d) participation in similar international or transnational associations concerning tugs, salvage, antipollution and OSVs.

e) negotiation with any seamen union and participation in the establishment or amendment of any collective labour convention or the resolution of any seafaring issue or the presentation and representation of members as a party to proceedings before any authority and court with regard to issues resolution of members’ tugs, salvage, antipollution and OSVs.
