Cpt. Dimitrios Melidis is a senior executive with extensive experience in the maritime and environmental services sector, with a strong background in operational leadership, strategic project management, and compliance with international safety and environmental standards.
Since January 2025, he has served as Chief Operating Officer (COO) at ANTIPOLLUTION S.A. (V Group of Companies), where he is responsible for overseeing daily operations, optimizing organizational performance, managing financial resources, and supporting the implementation of the Group’s strategic growth initiatives.
Previously, he held the positions of Chief Project Director and DPA / CSO – Port Captain, gaining significant expertise in the implementation and monitoring of ISM, ISPS, MLC, and environmental regulations across complex maritime and port operations.
He has also served for several years as Managing Director and Port Captain at Green Ports GmbH (Hamburg), where he led operational activities and contributed to the company’s strategic development. In addition, he brings over 14 years of sea-going service to his professional profile.
Mr. Melidis holds a B.Sc. in Shipping from the University of Piraeus and a Captain Class A Certificate.
