Ιωάννης ΤόγιαςIoannis Togias, born in Athens in 1976, was elected as Board Member in the Union for the second time in the latest elections (2026).

He has been a maritime professional since 1998, holding degrees in Naval Architecture (Bachelors) and Marine Engineering (Masters) from the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne in the United Kingdom.

In his professional capacity he has held the positions of newbuilding supervisor, superintendent engineer, and site manager in the blue water shipping sector, while in 2007 he moved to the offshore and subsea sector, where he is currently occupied.

After having held the positions of superintendent engineer, newbuilding supervisor, technical manager and general manager in this sector, he is currently the Executive Director of the Marine Technology Business Unit, and Board Member of Asso.subsea S.M.S.A., a prominent subsea cable installation contractor, based in Greece, and involved in high and medium voltage subsea cable installation projects on a national and international basis, including interconnectors and offshore wind farm export and inter-array cable installation.
