Dimitris Vichos was born in Athens in 1969. He graduated from the Sivitanidios School – Department of Structural and Building Works – and holds a degree from the Technological Educational Institute of Athens – Department of Infrastructure and Transportation Engineering Technology. He has been active in the maritime industry since 1995, specializing in the maintenance, repair, and construction of specialized technical underwater projects.

He has completed the following seminars and holds additional qualifications:

  • Diploma in Political Economy (ΕΛ.ΔΗ.ΠΑ.)
  • Seminar on Port Performance: Indicators and Analysis (2009 – WORLD MARITIME UNIVERSITY)
  • Tugboat Captain License
  • Professional Diving Certification

Since 1999, he has represented Vichos Tugs M.C., a company exclusively operating in Milos (Cyclades), providing assistance and rescue services for tourist and fishing vessels, maintenance of marine technical works, ship services, underwater operations, and management of port facilities.

He has served for several years as Treasurer of the Union of Tourist Day-Boat Owners (P.EN.E.T.H.S.), has been an active member for many years, and has been elected Vice President of the Panhellenic Association of Shipyards–Tarsanas (PAS.NA.TA). He is also an elected member of the Tugboat Association, where he has served for many years on the Board of Directors.
